Our facility is ISL (International Standard for Labs) certified specifically for processing breastmilk, ensuring a completely in-house and sterile handling process from beginning to end through extensive testing, thebreastmilkcompany has established a three-year expiration date for breastmilk that has gone through our process, ensuring optimal quality and longevity.
While thebreastmilkcompany does not facilitate donor matching or operate as a traditional milk bank, our service is tailored for individuals seeking to extend the shelf life of their existing supply of frozen breast milk through freeze drying for convenient storage.
how does it work?
Deliver or drop off your frozen breastmilk at our facility and we will process it during the pre-planned service date.
Upon receiving, it goes through an initial screening process by our lab assistant to ensure frozen milk is at no risk of contamination. Every bag is then weighed and logged before sending it into our temperature-controlled walk-in freezers where it’s monitored regularly throughout the day until your service date.
Your powdered breastmilk will be ready to be collected or delivered to you.

preparation for pick-up
While packing your milk, do a visual check and ensure that none of the bags are torn, damaged, leaking, or dirty. Thawed milk should not be sent for freeze drying, as the quality may already be compromised.
Set aside the milk you are freeze drying and keep them frozen until we arrive. We will use cooler bags, boxes and ice packs to keep them frozen during transport to our facility.

what is the refund policy?
We offer a 100% money back guarantee! If for any reason your breastmilk cannot be processed for freeze drying, you will receive a full refund. We address these on a case-by-case basis and will work towards a satisfactory solution.

how to use freeze dried breastmilk?
Simply prepare a bottle of warm water (recommended temperature of 45° Celcius/113° Farenheit) and add the powder in with the specified amount indicated on every sachet.
You can also sprinkle into formula or solid food as a supplement boost!
handling opened sachets
Each sachet is customized to your baby’s feed (which will be pre-determined when you send in your frozen breastmilk) and should be used within 2 hours. Once opened, the powder is exposed to air, attracting moisture that can cause bacterial growth as the milk is not pasteurized during freeze drying.
how to store
Store the sachets in a cool (15-30°C), dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture, to maintain quality and freshness. Avoid exposing them to moisture, light, air, and heat.
Do not store your powder in the refrigerator.
