About Freeze Drying
Freeze drying is a cold-vacuum process called lyophilisation that removes moisture from breastmilk without using heat. The result is a fine powder that can be stored at room temperature for up to 3 years and reconstituted with warm water when needed. This process is designed to help preserve the nutritional and biological components naturally found in breastmilk.
Research on lyophilisation has shown high retention of important breastmilk components, including antibodies such as secretory IgA, lactoferrin, and probiotic viability. Compared to traditional heat-based pasteurisation, freeze drying is considered a gentler preservation method as no heat is used during processing.
Your breastmilk must be fully frozen at the time of collection. We currently accept milk that is up to 5 months old from the date of expression. For quality purposes, we generally do not recommend sending milk beyond this period.
Who Is It For
This service is for breastfeeding mothers who would like to preserve their breastmilk for longer-term storage and future feeding. Common situations include returning to work, frequent travel, limited freezer space, high lipase where babies may reject frozen milk, accumulated milk during hospital or NICU stays, or mothers who wish to preserve their final batches while weaning.

Your Milk and Safety
Never. Each order is one mother's milk, processed alone in a dedicated freeze drying cycle.
Your breastmilk is handled with care throughout the entire process, from pickup to freeze drying and packaging. We use dedicated processing equipment, follow strict hygiene and sanitisation procedures between every order, and keep your breastmilk properly frozen during handling and transportation to help preserve its quality and safety.
Your milk is processed in a dedicated freeze drying run. No other milk shares the chamber. From the moment of collection, your milk is logged under your order and tracked through every stage. Every sachet is printed with the reconstitution amount specific to your milk. Your milk never comes into contact with another mother's milk.
Freeze drying helps preserve your breastmilk in its current state at the time of processing. Proper storage and handling before collection are important to maintain its quality. If we notice anything unusual during our intake check, we'll contact you to discuss the next steps before proceeding.
Our money-back guarantee applies if we are unable to complete the freeze-drying process due to processing-related circumstances within our control. It does not cover situations related to the condition, storage, or handling of the breastmilk prior to collection. If we identify any concerns during intake, we will contact you before proceeding.
The Process
From the day we collect your milk to the day your powder sachets are delivered, the process typically takes 30 to 60 working days. Supersaver orders are prioritised and are usually completed within 30 to 45 working days. Our team will do the best to keep you updated on the progress throughout the process.
Once your order is placed, we'll contact you to confirm a suitable pickup window. Your frozen breastmilk will then be collected from your home using insulated boxes and safely transported to our facility, where your milk is identified, checked, and stored in freezer conditions until it is scheduled for freeze drying processing. After processing, your freeze dried breastmilk will go through final quality checks, be packed into sachets based on your baby's feeding size, and delivered back to you.
Simply keep your breastmilk frozen until our team arrives for pickup. Before collection, do a quick visual check to ensure the milk bags are properly sealed and free from tears, leaks, or external residue. Thawed milk should not be sent for freeze drying, as the quality may already be compromised. Our team will handle the rest using insulated boxes to keep your milk properly frozen on the way to our facility.
Yes. We will do our best to keep you updated at key stages throughout the process, including pickup confirmation with total volume collected, when your order enters processing, when processing is completed and packaging is underway, and when your order is dispatched. If you have any questions in between updates, our team is reachable to support and assist you throughout the process.
Let us know at least 24 hours before your scheduled pickup if you need to make any changes or reschedule.
For 15L and 30L packages, you do not need to send the full quantity in a single collection. We're able to arrange multiple collections, giving you more flexibility and time to continue building your stash before processing begins. Feel free to speak to our team and we'll help advise the most suitable arrangement.
Your Delivery
Your delivery includes all custom-sized sealed powder sachets based on your selected portion size. Each sachet is individually labeled with the exact water amount needed for reconstitution and packed securely inside a protective delivery box to help prevent damage during transit.
Your sachets are sealed food-grade pouches, sized to match your specific required feed. Each sachet is sealed and labeled with the exact amount of water to add for reconstitution.
Your freeze dried breastmilk powder is portioned into practical feed-sized sachets based on your final milk yield. Each sachet is prepared to reconstitute into a feeding amount according to your selected feed size, with the exact water measurement labeled directly on the sachet for convenience.
The final number of sachets depends on your total milk volume and the portion size selected for your order.
Using Your Powder
Simply add the amount of warm water printed on the sachet and gently swirl until the powder is fully dissolved. Each sachet is labeled with the exact water amount calculated specifically for your milk. We recommend using water at approximately 40°C to 45°C. Once prepared, feed immediately or within 2 hours. Do not microwave.
Once reconstituted, freeze dried breastmilk tastes very close to freshly expressed milk. Babies who previously rejected frozen milk due to high lipase may also accept the powder more readily, as the freeze drying process helps reduce excess lipase activity.
Yes. You can sprinkle the powder into formula for added nutrition, or mix it into purees, porridge or soft foods as your baby starts solids. It is also a practical way to continue providing the benefits of breastmilk during weaning without needing to bottle feed.
Yes. Once reconstituted, warm the bottle using a standard bottle warmer as you would with any expressed or formula milk. Make sure the water used for reconstitution is already at 40 to 45 degrees Celsius. Test the temperature on your wrist before feeding and do not exceed 45 degrees Celsius.
Most babies accept reconstituted freeze dried breastmilk well, including some who previously rejected frozen milk due to high lipase. If you experience any feeding difficulties, feel free to reach out to our team for guidance.
Storage
Sealed sachets can be stored at room temperature for up to 3 years from the freeze drying date. Keep them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Refrigeration is not required while sealed. Once reconstituted or opened, the milk should be consumed within 2 hours.
No. Sealed sachets are shelf-stable at room temperature for up to 3 years. Keep them in a pantry, cupboard or travel bag. Once opened and reconstituted, treat the liquid milk as you would fresh breastmilk: once prepared, consume within 2 hours at room temperature.
If a sealed sachet has been submerged in water or exposed to sustained heat above 40 degrees Celsius, the seal may be compromised and the powder quality affected. Check sachets regularly. If the powder has clumped or changed colour, do not use it. Store in a cool, dry place to get the full shelf life.
Yes. Freeze dried powder sachets are shelf-stable, require no refrigeration and generally pass through airport security without issue. Always check the regulations of your destination country for importing food or infant products.
